Brian D. Williams Attorney at McCarthy Law PLC in Spring TX
Brian D. Williams is of counsel in the McCarthy Law in Spring, Texas in suburban Houston. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Northwest Houston Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Consumer Bankruptcy Association. A 1980 graduate of the Pettit College of Law, Ohio Northern University, Brian has dedicated his practice primarily to family law, including divorce, and debt relief. He is licensed to practice before all Texas courts, the United States District Court (Northern District of Ohio and Southern District of Texas), the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.
Brian knew since middle school that he wanted to be an attorney. His education was crafted to give him a wide range of tools to enable him to help his future clients. To that end, he graduated from Youngstown State University in 1975 with a dual major in Accounting and Economics and five minors in Chemistry, English, History, Latin and Political Science. Since being licensed to practice law in 1980, he has continued his legal education through continuing legal education seminars and courses. In 2000 Brian was invited to join the College of the State Bar in recognition of the fact that he puts considerably more hours into his continuing education than is required to maintain his license. Brian is an advanced family law mediator, and has completed both basic and advanced mediation training through the University of Houston Law Center.
He has dedicated his practice to helping his clients understand their legal issues and problems, whether in divorce, debt or the after effects of divorce and other family and income disruptions, and then working with his clients to resolve those issues and problems. His philosophy is to put the client in the best possible position that the facts and the law permit. This means helping the client understand the effects of today’s choices on their lives in the future. Only then does the client have the information to make difficult decisions. In this way, he helps clients cope with the effects of divorce, debt and planning for the future.
Outside of the office, Brian likes spending time with his wife, Linda, their children and grandchildren.
