Richard C. Houghton

Richard C. Houghton is of counsel in the McCarthy Law PLC Palm Desert, California office and licensed in California, Massachusetts and Oregon. During the first 15 years of his legal career his focus was primarily on a successful litigation practice representing business owners, and professionals, in trial litigation. He has successfully tried over 75 jury trials and hundreds of court trials. He has had advanced training in mediation techniques, served as Judge Pro Tempore, a court appointed Arbitrator, and a Court Appointed Settlement Officer. The California State Bar has certified him as a Specialist in Family Law for 20 years. His practice now focuses on helping families cope with the ending of a marriage, asset management, and debt resolution. He is licensed to practice before the Federal and State Courts in Massachusetts, Oregon and California.
